Newsletter - Seasonal
Pastor's Sunday School Group is currently on Summer Break. Class resumes September 8th at 9 am. We will pick up with Jacob's story in Genesis 32.
Any time is a good time to join Pastor Ray’s Sunday School Group. We are walking through the Book of Genesis, one chapter at a time.
Simply bring your Bible and join us at 9 am on Sundays. Our next study will be the Book of Revelation.
Coffee & Conversation
Join in at 10 am every Sunday as we gather in the narthex for casual fellowship just before service. Thanks to those who have brought treats. Sweets are always sweeter when they spontaneously come from the heart. If you bring a treat, please take care to note – we have a severe Red 40 allergy in the congregation. Check your ingredient labels! Cash donations are gratefully received for future purchases of cups and coffee.
Always Time to Pray
Clarence Center UMC is excited to announce two new worship & prayer opportunities outside of Sunday morning! Both events are intended to be open-ended and allow for the Spirit to guide us and lead us deeper.
Prayer Sessions are currently on Summer Break. Formal Sessions resume on September 11th.
Prayer is always an option with Pastor Ray. Drop by or call anytime and he will pray with you.
Every Wednesday morning at 10 am,
a Time of Prayer is offered for individual and shared prayer. This time begins with quiet reflection and preparation, a Scripture passage shared Lectio Divina and concluded with an open sharing of all that is on our heart. This event is 30 minute in length on average.
Every Wednesday evening at 7 pm,
a Praise & Prayer Service is offered based on Wesley’s order for evening praise and prayer. We fill this time with reflection, and contemporary hymns & songs offered on video, a Lectio-styled psalm reflection, and an open sharing of prayers focused on calling the Holy Spirit into an active role in our lives. This service is usually 45 minutes in length.
We hope that both of these events will create new opportunities for a variety of people to approach the throne of our loving God. All are welcome!
